The Princeps is a compact yet formidable arming sword inspired by the late 13th and early 14th centuries. Its blade follows the Oakeshott Type XIV form, with a broad, flat profile, strong taper, and short, robust structure, well suited for both powerful cuts and precise thrusts in close combat.
The double fullers reduce weight while improving balance and agility, giving the Princeps a lively and reliable feel. Short, stiff, and sharply pointed, the blade offers excellent control against the evolving armour of the period.
The hilt features a more expressive design, combining a distinctive crossguard with a refined wheel pommel for a bold and elegant appearance. Well suited for use with a shield or buckler, the Princeps reflects the practical needs of medieval knights and soldiers.
