AS 06 – Type XIV
From: € 380,00 (Exc. VAT)
The Type XIV arming sword is a compact yet formidable weapon, typically dating back to the late 13th to early 14th centuries. Distinguished by its broad, flat blade, which is notably short and robust, perfect for cutting and thrusting in close combat. The double fullers running down the blade not only reduce its weight but also enhance its balance, making it an agile and reliable in the right hands.
The hilt is usually fitted with a simple crossguard and a wheel pommel, but this time we wanted a bit more exciting. This sword is well-suited for use with a shield or buckler, making it a popular choice among knights and soldiers during the medieval period. – designed by Tamás Kiss.
