Classic, iconic, and enduring – introducing the “Virtus”

The Virtus is the most iconic one-handed sword of the Middle Ages, widely known as the classic knight’s sword. Its blade follows the Type XV form in the Oakeshott typology, a design that appeared early and later evolved into many of the one-handed sword types that shaped European swordsmanship. One of its earliest and most famous appearances is in the fencing manuscript Codex Ms. I.33, the oldest known European sword and buckler treatise.

Simple yet beautiful, the Virtus combines clean lines with elegant proportions. Light, nimble, and responsive, it offers excellent control and lively handling, making it as practical as it is visually refined.

A true historical classic, the Virtus is an excellent choice for practitioners and collectors seeking an authentic knightly sword with graceful handling and timeless appeal.
