The Queen Refined – Reina, the Montante Trainer

Named after the Spanish word for “queen,” Reina is the sparring-ready counterpart to our Montante, designed for daily use and competitive HEMA practice while preserving the elegance and flow of the original weapon.

Inspired by the grand two-handed swords of Spain and Portugal, the Reina offers exceptional reach, balance, and control in a reinforced, tournament-capable format. Built to withstand the demands of full-speed drills and high-intensity sparring, it maintains the fluidity and structure that define Iberian fencing traditions.

With its graceful handling and commanding presence, Reina is the perfect training tool for practitioners looking to explore the art of the Montante with both safety and authenticity in mind.
