Messer – “Hans”

From:  300,00 (Exc. VAT)

Hans is our shortest langes messer, designed for exceptional mobility, balance, and precise handling.

Its compact length makes it highly maneuverable in close-quarters, while still offering the cutting power and structure characteristic of historical messers. The design is inspired by original 14th to 16th-century examples and closely follows illustrations found in manuscripts such as Talhoffer’s Fechtbuch (Cod. icon. 394a) and Albrecht Dürer’s Fechtbuch (Sloane MS No. 5229).

With a stiff blade, Hans is ideal for technical drills, partner exercises, and controlled applications, offering accurate feedback and excellent responsiveness. It’s a historically grounded tool for practitioners who want to explore German fencing traditions with a messer built for precision and reliability.
