LS 05 – Vassal | Type XIIIa

From:  440,00 (Exc. VAT)

Our “Vassal” longsword is inspired by the surviving Oakeshott Type XIIIa swords. Its lines are sharp and its dimensions give it a massive appearance – as a result, many people may know it as a Knight’s Sword or a War Sword. The tip of its wide blade is rounder than its late counterparts, its edges are almost parallel. Thanks to the lenticular cross-section of the blade, it is an excellent cutting weapon. It was typically used in the 13th and 14th centuries, but the style can also be found among later pieces. Our blunt version has a slightly heavier draw, but its sharp version is downright enjoyable.
