Bold and battle-ready – introducing our Type XIIIa longsword, “Vassal.”
Inspired by surviving examples of Oakeshott Type XIIIa swords, Vassal embodies the power and presence of the classic Knight’s Sword or War Sword. Its broad, nearly parallel-edged blade features a rounded tip, characteristic of earlier medieval longswords. The lenticular cross-section enhances its cutting performance, making it a formidable weapon on the battlefield.
Primarily used in the 13th and 14th centuries, this design persisted in later periods, proving its lasting effectiveness. While the blunt version carries a bit more weight, the sharp version offers an effortlessly satisfying cutting experience.
